Dilation Properties for Weighted Modulation Spaces

چکیده
In this paper we give a sharp estimate on the norm of the scaling operator Uλf(x) = f(λx) acting on the weighted modulation spaces M s,t (R). In particular, we recover and extend recent results by Sugimoto and Tomita in the unweighted case [15]. As an application of our results, we estimate the growth in time of solutions of the wave and vibrating plate equations, which is of interest when considering the well posedeness of the Cauchy problem for these equations. Finally, we provide new embedding results between modulation and Besov spaces.

Sharpness of Some Properties of Wiener Amalgam and Modulation Spaces
We prove sharp estimates for the dilation operator f(x) 7−→ f(λx), when acting on Wiener amalgam spaces W (L, L). Scaling arguments are also used to prove the sharpness of the known convolution and pointwise relations for modulation spaces M, as well as the optimality of an estimate for the Schrödinger propagator on modulation spaces.
متن کاملThe Dilation Property of Modulation Spaces and Their Inclusion Relation with Besov Spaces
We consider the dilation property of the modulation spaces M. Let Dλ : f(t) 7→ f(λt) be the dilation operator, and we consider the behavior of the operator norm ‖Dλ‖Mp,q→Mp,q with respect to λ. Our result determines the best order for it, and as an application, we establish the optimality of the inclusion relation between the modulation spaces and Besov space, which was proved by Toft [9].
متن کاملBanach frames for α-modulation spaces
This paper is concerned with the characterization of α-modulation spaces by Banach frames, i.e., stable and redundant nonorthogonal expansions, constituted of functions obtained by a suitable combination of translation, modulation and dilation of a mother atom. In particular, the parameter α ∈ [0,1] governs the dependence of the dilation factor on the frequency. The result is achieved by exploi...
متن کاملChanges of Variables in Modulation and Wiener Amalgam Spaces
In this paper various properties of global and local changes of variables as well as properties of canonical transforms are investigated on modulation and Wiener amalgam spaces. We establish several relations among localisations of modulation and Wiener amalgam spaces and, as a consequence, we obtain several versions of local and global Beurling–Helson type theorems. We also establish a number ...
متن کاملWeighted Hardy-Sobolev Spaces and Complex Scaling of Differential Equations with Operator Coefficients
In this paper we study weighted Hardy-Sobolev spaces of vector valued functions analytic on double-napped cones of the complex plane. We introduce these spaces as a tool for complex scaling of linear ordinary differential equations with dilation analytic unbounded operator coefficients. As examples we consider boundary value problems in cylindrical domains and domains with quasicylindrical ends.
